Commercial Pilot License

Duration : 1.5 Year to 3 Year

Eligibility : 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics 50%

Commercial Pilot License is a License Course; it’s not a Diploma or Degree course. Commercial Pilot License holder can act as the pilot in command of a single pilot aircraft, or as co-pilot of a multi-pilot aircraft and be paid for his / her work. The purpose of this syllabus is to outline a Commercial Pilot Training course where understanding of concepts is emphasized. Each lesson will build on the material learned in the previous session. The student is expected to study the indicated material prior to the beginning of the session. The duration of the course is one and half years but it may be more or less than this depending on the rules and regulations of different institutes. The course is an important and valuable in nature that offers many career scopes after its completion. To get CPL You need to have minimum 200 HRS flying experience.

Commercial Pilot License Eligibility

Students should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks in mathematics and physics. (If you don’t have Physics & Mathematics in 10+2 you have an option of doing these two subjects from National Institute of Open Schooling’s On-Demand Examinations and can still start your Pilot training course.

Commercial Pilot License Course Suitability

They should be use to of discipline, patience, responsibility, punctuality, commitment and self-confidence.
The job requires a lot of hard work, stamina, alertness of mind, adaptability to follow difficult time schedules, good team spirit etc.
They must be mentally very alert in every situation; emotional stability in crisis situations is another characteristic that the pilots should have.
Apart from these qualities, the persons willing to take up this as profession should be calm, pleasant, compassionate, adventurous, understanding and technically sound.

How is Commercial Pilot License Course Beneficial?

After Commercial Pilot License from DGCA, they can find employment opportunities in both government (Indian Airlines, Air India) as well as private domestic and international (Jet Airways, Indigo etc.) airlines. Even large corporate houses with their own aircraft require the services of pilots.
They can also go for the higher degrees in the very subjects like graduation and ahead of it.
